CAMATIC SEATING RELEASES NEW AXIOM SEATING SYSTEM
Camatic Seating, an Australian company known for providing seating solutions in high-profile stadium and arenas globally is proud to announce the release of its most state-of-the-art product, the Axiom Seating System. Part of Camatic’s line of beam-mounted stadium seats, providing for faster and more flexible installation compared to traditional fixed seats, the Axiom represents a never-ending evolution based on quality, functionality and timeless style.
Designed to be the ultimate general admission and club patrons’ seat, the Axiom series maximizes venue capacity and combines the durability of a sturdy chair and comfortable design with an aesthetically pleasing product.
Offering a host of additional features and benefits, the Axiom System starts with an updated ergonomic profile. Though comparable to the company’s Quantum Series featuring polypropylene seats paired with glass-filled nylon supports and arms and a host of accessories to enhance the seating experience, the Axiom has adopted a more contemporary look, explains Camatic Seating Engineering Manager Bruce Ansell. “Rather than the organic softer curves of the Quantum, it has straighter lines” he says. “It’s cleaner and inspired by the shapes of iconic midcentury-modern and contemporary chairs.”
At the same time, the Axiom offers more refined function, including a spring-loaded pivot mechanism for consistent seat return. And, says Ansell, “We’ve refined the beam the seat is mounted on to allow a quicker installation method. The profile of the beam has also been changed to make more efficient use of the material, which helps make the whole system more cost-effective for our clients.”
On display at this year’s Association of Luxury Suite Directors International (ALSD) and the International Association of Venue Managers’ (IAVM) conferences in Chicago , the Axiom seat has been chosen by a number of Camatic Seating clients even before its promotional roll out, including a new seating array for Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney, Australia (former Sydney Olympic Tennis Centre) as well as the Ariaki Tennis Center in Tokyo, Japan, The Curragh Racecourse in Ireland and three additional venues in Australia, some 44,000 seats in total so far. For example, when designing North Queensland Stadium in Townsville, Australia, “they- (COX – Architecture) had a preference for a beam mounted seat,” explains Camatic Seating Global Sales Director Shaun McPherson. “Whilst other manufacturers put forward various options, the client liked the styling and aesthetics of the Axiom. At the same time, they felt it would be more durable than the other submissions. It was about both style and functionality.”
